Abstract: 

Purpose: The present study aims to identify and explain the futures of Iranian provinces in the competition for the development of NBIC TECHNOLOGICAL convergence (synergy between nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology and cognitive sciences) with a focus on Yazd province. Method: This research, which has been conducted with a qualitative and descriptive approach, is classified as an exploratory futures-study. In this way, the relevant research records were first reviewed to compile a list of drivers in the development of convergent technologies. The list was then refined and prioritized to identify two key drivers, with the Delphi process attended by fourteen experts. By intersecting the uncertainties of these two drivers, four scenarios of the province's future in TECHNOLOGICAL convergence competition emerged. Findings: The two key drivers affecting the success of the province in the competition for convergent technologies are: the rate of development of the innovation ecosystem and the amount of financial resources allocated to this process. Based on this, four scenarios of the future situation of the province in this field were identified, which have been named as "Vanguard", "Buyer", "Remnant" and "Hired". Conclusion: In order for the provinces to be able to succeed in the forthcoming competitions in the production and operation of convergent technologies, it is necessary to plan for strengthening the ecosystem infrastructure from now; at the same time, it is necessary to make efficient efforts to provide sufficient financial resources for the research and commercialization of these technologies.

Abstract: 

This research aimed at identifying natural organisms and their PROPERTIES in the TECHNOLOGICAL samples of contemporary architecture. The main questionswere: "Which PROPERTIES of natural organisms are effective on the TECHNOLOGICAL works of contemporary architecture? " and "How much do they affect? "This descriptive-analytic research was conducted using archival method to access the theoretical literature, and surveying method for collecting the data required. Case studies were selected and analyzed from theinternationally famous TECHNOLOGICAL works made from the sixties (Hi-Tech style) till now. The case studies were divided into two periods, 20th and 21st centuries; 8 works each period. The results indicated that PROPERTIES such asunity, balance, proportion, hierarchy and efficiency have had most used between PROPERTIES of natural organisms in TECHNOLOGICAL works of contemporary architecture, and PROPERTIES such as restorability, reproducibility and developability have been neglected.

Abstract: 

The best method for wheat planning and its food industrial usage is evaluation of its TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES. For this purpose, the content and quality of protein, hardness degree and rheological characteristics in wheat are very important. In this study, five important wheat varieties of Iran (Alvand of Arak, Khorasan and Hamedan; Chamran of Ahvaz, Khorasan and Shiraz; Rooshan of Arak, Esfahan, Karaj and Yazd; Zagross of Ahvaz and Zarrine of Aurmieh) were evaluated for mentioned factors. The statistical results revealed, highest protein content (11%), protein quality (SDS= 33.67-35.67 mL), hardness degree (59.33-61%), in Rooshan of Karaj; Zagross of Ahvaz and Rooshan of Esfahan; Chamran of Khorasan and Zarrine of Aurmieh varieties, respectively. Based on the quality, the Rosshan of Karaj, Zagross of Ahvaz, Zarrine of Aurmieh, Rooshan of Yazd and Chamran of Khorasan, varieties were recognized for their farinograph and extensograph characteristics (water absorption 65.33%; dough development time 5.33 min; dough stability 19.33 min; mixing tolerance index 57.33 BU; valorimeter value 64.33 unit; maximum resistance to extension 450 BU; dough energy 100.3 Cm2 and extensibility 179 mm). In general, the qualitative varieties could be used for fermentative products (bread) and the others for production of biscuit, cake and cookie.

Abstract: 

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of Verticillium dahliae Kleb. on cotton yield and fiber TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES, relationships among to disease and seed cotton yield, fiber yield and fiber TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES and also determine susceptible and tolerant cotton varieties. The study was conducted in the Southeastern Anatolia Agricultural Research Institute’s experimental area during 2004-2006. The experiment was arranged as a randomized split block design with four replications. Main plot consisted of infected and non-infected area, sub-plot consisted of varieties. In this study 10 different commercial cotton varieties were grown to test the verticillium wilt performance. The results indicated that there were significant differences among varieties for all of the investigated characteristics. Area differences were significant for all of the investigated traits except ginning percentage. The results of the non-infected area showed that there were decreasing with regard to foliar disease index (FDI), vascular disease index (VDI), vascular disease rate (VDR), first picking percentage, fiber fineness, micronaire and yellowness, while increasing with regard to seed cotton yield, fiber yield, fiber length, strength, elongation, uniformity, reflectance and spinning consistecy index.Only ginning percentage was unaffected from area differences. With planting cotton varieties in non-infected area there were 323.60 kg ha-1 increase for seed cotton yield and 114.50 kg ha-1 for lint yield. Disease led to a decrease (7.86%) in seed cotton yield and (6.73%) in fiber yield. The results of this study indicated that GW-Teks, GW-Golda and Carmen varieties were tolerant, while Maras 92, Sayar 314 and Stoneville 453 were sensitive in terms of FDI, VDI and VDR and tolerant varieties can be used as parents in Verticillium breeding programs.

Abstract: 

Sluggish Cognitive Tempo is used to describe a particular type of attention deficit, concentration, and slowness in information processing. The aim of this study was to investigate the psychometric PROPERTIES of the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale (SCTS) of the parent form among Iranian children. The present study is a descriptive study. A sample of 1700 people was selected from the provinces of Tehran, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Fars and Khorasan using cluster sampling method. 122 subjects were excluded from statistical analysis due to incomplete answers to the questionnaires and thus the final sample was reduced to 1578 parents. The confirmatory factor analysis method and internal consistency were used to compute the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale factorial validity and reliability, respectively. Also, in order to examine the construct validity of the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale, we computed correlations between different dimensions of Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale with Attention Deficit Subscale of Mental Health Assessment Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents. The results of statistical results showed that this scale has structural validity, criterion and convergence in Iranian society. The results indicate that the scale is three factors and also the validity of the scale using Cronbach's alpha method and retest test after Approved two weeks. According to the findings of the present study, the parent form of the Sluggish Cognitive Tempo Scale (SCTS) has a good validity and reliability and it can be used in research related to slow cognitive multiplication in Iranian society.
